Year Three - Days Sixteen and Seventeen

Sam's View

Today was a stay home day. It wasn’t raining but everything was closed. The next day, we drove from Horse Cave to Evansville, IN. The drive was about 2 ½ hours and the distance is about 150 miles and also we took Buster to the doggie park and he had lots of fun. After we got setup, me and daddy watched the hockey game Boston vs Toronto. The series was tied 3-3. A few minutes before the end of the game, Boston was losing 4 to 1, but at the end of the 3rd period they were tied 4 to 4 so they went into overtime and at 15:00 left Boston scored!!!!!! :) :) :) :) :) :)

On day sixteen, we were going to tour Hidden Cave, but it was closed due to flooding.  Then I called to see if Lost River Cave was open and it was also closed due to flooding.  Bummer!  So, like Sam said, we stayed home.

We stayed at the 4-H Center in Evansville, which has a campground, and turned out to be the only campground we could find with wifi!  It was nice, though, and they had a pretty big playground area that local kids seemed to hang out in, so Sam had a blast there.
