Year F our - Day Thirty-Six

Summer's View

Today we drove up to the Lliard Hot Springs to enjoy a dip in the hot spring water. Ahh! It was about a 30 minute drive to the north, and we saw two more black bears along the way. One crossed the road, and then stopped to look at us people in the cars like we were nuts!  J

The hot springs did not disappoint! Very nice, and it smelled like sulphur, similar to Yellowstone. There was a very nice changing room facility, and a pretty long boardwalk through the marshy area to get there. Plenty of big mosquitos were around to try to carry us off, but we stayed in the water.

On the drive back to the campground, we saw a small herd of Stone sheep, including three lambs. Adorable! Almost forgot, that morning from the camp, Jim and Sam spotted a moose across the lake. We couldn’t have seen it without the spotting scope, as the lake is pretty large.
