Year Four - Day Thirty-Four

Summer's View

After leaving Dawson Creek, we decided to drive to Fort Nelson for an overnight. Jim spent the morning calling around trying to find someone with two front tires for the RV, since ours were wearing badly, but could not find anyone from Dawson Creek all the way through to Anchorage, AK.

We stopped for diesel in a town called Ft. St. John’s, and there was a Kal Tire place right next to the station. Since we had not called them, Jim went over to check about tires. Lo and behold, they had some in stock! He made arrangements to have them changed around 6:00 pm, so we went to the Rotary Campground just down the street to wait.

They ended up calling us early around 3:00 pm, so we dropped off the rig, went to McDonald’s for some early dinner and computer time, and picked up the rig when it was finished. We spent the night at the local campground, and intended to head back out in the morning.
