Year Four - Day Thirty-One

Summer's View

Today we hiked in Jasper National Park, along the Maligne Canyon. Since dogs are allowed in the national parks in Canada, we brought Buster with us.

This is a popular hike, and there are six bridges along the hike that cross the Maligne River as you climb up and down the canyons. In the summer, you hike along the trail and look down at the raging river passing through the narrow canyons below. In the winter, it all freezes solid, and hikers can explore the canyons from below.

It was about a 5 mile hike roundtrip, and Buster was a tired little doggie! J We all enjoyed the scenery and fresh air along the way.
