Year Three - Day 109

Sam's View

Today we went to look for a KOA to stay at. It was boring. After that we went crabbing but didn’t get any keepers.  :(

Summer's View

We drove to a nearby town to check out a KOA campground for sale - nice place!  Later, Sam and Jim went "crabbing."

Jim's View

Today we drove to Langlois, OR to look at a KOA campground for sale. Summer is always looking for properties. It is a really nice campground and has our interest peaked. We made a reservation to come and stay in a couple days.

Later that day (high tide) Sam and I heading down to the docks to do some crabbing. Dungeness crab were the target. The campground is full of people who are here for the fishing. Rv'rs  from all over the country full and part timers who just want to hang out and fish. Well, we were able to borrow some traps from our neighbor, got some chicken, and off we went. We had a blast. We caught literally hundreds of crabs! They were all to small though. The rule is it must be a male, and at least 5 3/4". Finally after the sun went down we called it a night, but not without vowing to return for the morning high tide!  :)
