Year Three - Day 112

Sam's View

Today we went to a zoo. You get to pet a baby tiger, a baby bear, a baby panther, a ferret, a fox, a skunk, and a rabbit! You also get to get goats and baby deer! It was really cool. After that we ate the crab we got and after that we went to the hot tub and pool.  :)

Summer's View

We visited the wildlife park down the road from the campground, where you can have interaction with their babies. Their purpose in acquiring the baby animals is for captive breeding programs, so they are not ever going to be released into the wild.  This allows all of us lucky customers to come in and pet them and fuss over them!  :)  They had some beautiful exotic animals, but my favorite was a baby goat just a few days old that I got to pick up and hold! :)

Jim's View

Today we went to a local wildlife zoo. It is one of the old ones in the country and consequently is grandfathered in to allow up close animal encounters. We pet a bear cub, tiger, some other type cat, possums, fox, ferrets, and even something else. They had deer, llamas, sheep, goats, donkeys running around for everyone to pet and feed. It was pretty cool, and another example of a small business making a living. Can't imagine they will be around much longer. Have to believe the grandfather clause is going to run out sooner or later.
